Aired on 08/17/2014 | CC
In 1991, Cathy Wilensky appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show to discuss why she had been pushing her then-7-year-old daughter, Mari, to compete in pageants from age 4. When Cathy was accused of living through her daughter's experience by another guest on the show, Cathy said that wasn't true. "My daughter really enjoys these pageants," she said, and young Mari backed her mother up. "Her dream is to become Miss America," Cathy said. "If her ideas and her thoughts change tomorrow, fine with me."

So whatever happened to Cathy and Mari? Did Mari ever make it to a Miss America pageant? Does her mom have any regrets? Via Skype™, we catch up with Cathy and Mari, who's now 30 years old!
