Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • Ice, for serving
  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice

Directions

Heat the sugar with 2 cups water in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring, until the sugar is dissolved, about 3 minutes. Cool the simple syrup completely. (Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.)

Fill a large pitcher with ice. Add the lemon juice along with 12 cups cold water. Stir in 2 cups chilled simple syrup. Serve the lemonade in iced-filled glasses.
